Feeling like I'm in a different time or out of reality

I feel like I'm stuck on a time. It started earlier today. The light was bothering me and it's been like that til it got dark outside. At the gym I felt like I had no pulse and felt weird. Then I've been feeling like it's 5:00 pm... is this normal for anxiety ?

Hi martiniracing,  just wondering if you have an answer to why light

bothers us.  I keep room darkeners over the 2 windows in the tv room.

I'm happy when it's a rainy cloudy day, too strainful on the eyes (even with

sunglasses)  to handle a bright sunny day.    Go figure...

It's really hard to tell as it could be alot of possibilities.  I know my tolerance for light differs over the months but it could simply be the number of hours of daylight we get between the seasons.

One suggestion is to not over darken your surroundings when it is already acceptable to your eyes (IE. Wearing sunglasses indoors).  You need to train your eyes to tolerate the light.  I noticed the more I avoid light, the more my brain will automatically register a fear of light.  This will just increase my photophobia subconsciously

I still think there is chemical imbalance in my Brian that's causing all the photophobia plus the weird vision I am having.

You are so right, going outside on a sunny day does become overwhelming because I am use to the darkness.  Thank you for your input, this has bothered me for a long time.  Take care.

Just remember to bring a hat and some nice pair of sunglasses when you're outside.  I find sometimes I test myself by looking at extremely bright stuff like reflection from the water just to test my tolerance.  Don't do that!  U will put yourself off of bright sunny days if u do.  I don't think I ever did that kinda 'testing' when my eyes were normal

You know I couldn't help but laugh when you mentioned about testing ourselves by looking at the reflection from the water...I know better but I guess I just want to see if I can do it.   We are all so alike  .

yeah, i am absolutely sure the 'normal' me knew better than to do these type of stupid tests and subconsciously helped me avoid it.  there is no sense in comparing as there are many things that will seem brighter than the should be
