Hi everyone, I have only been on mirtazipine for my depression/anxiety for less than a week now. However I feel dizzy and numb/tingling sensations in my hands, feet and legs and lips since the second day of taking the medication. Had anyone else suffered these symptoms? If so, how long did they take do go away or lessen?

Side Effects of Mirtazipine
I was on this drug for less than 3 wks when It just sort of started making me feel 'funny' so I stopped taking it... I had MANY warnings from a friend of mine who had also been on Mirtazapine that to be warned against the horrible withdrawals that it produces...
She was RIGHT!!! ... oh MY was she ever right...
Never ever had been on ANY kind of drug where the withdrawals were so horrible... I quit cold turkey and it took about two weeks to feel half way normal again... I am sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings here...but as I told my dr last week...I wish I would have BEEN WARNED....that it was awful...
Friend told me to taper off gradually cut back but I just went cold turkey and got it overwith....
Please don't give up on MIRTAZIPINE yet. It takes a while for it to work. I have been taking it for some time. Its one of the best A/D. available. Take care.
Thank you!
I been on for approx 7mths started on lower dose then increased. Took a while for side effects to settle but now none at all. Good luck hope settle soon for you
I take 15mg of Mirtazapine everyday and I take it in the evening, I also get slight tingling and numbness in my fingers and toes and also restless legs in bed! I've been taking these for a couple of months now, but I've just got used to it. I was on Sertraline before and the side effects were horrendous and lasted only a week on those, so I can cope with a little tingling! Hopefully it will subside though.
I I suffer from tingling & numbness from anti rejection drugs, but did get lot worse, but has decreased now & dizziness was very sever, but yes did settle. Do still find it takes ages to wake up in morning so if need to be up early for appoint or something I take earlier in the evening. But did take sever weeks for side effects to settle. Hope it settles for you soon
