You have health anxiety - that's why. I am sure you know from your own experience that even if you are told there is nothing wrong, your head will tell you that they must have missed something. That is the nature of the illness. It is quite usual for people with health anxiety to also have ocd. So the treatment has to encompass both parts of the illness. Perhaps you might speak with your doctor again and see what can be offered in terms of treatment designed for you individually.

Jess.... please: Just STOP listening to the news! We have been programmed to believe that we should remain 'up to date' or 'informed' like this makes us 'good citizens.' Well, lemme tell you...that is a bunch of hooey! :( This is how governments control people... by keeping them in FEAR...especially fear of the future...

If there is something you 'need to know'...trust me...you WILL find out about it... The 'news' is delivered to you PURPOSELY by these 'nice, smiling, personable people'...and SURELY what they say is the truth! Really??? Nuh-uh...

Watch comedies. :)

do yourself a favor and stop watching or reading the news. 95% of what they report on is nothing but bad news....and the weather..hehe. there are many good stories out there but the news tends to focus on only reporting about the bad stuff that happens in the world. watching the news always depressed me so i just stopped watching. people say you have to watch to be "informed"...informed about what exactly? how there are people dying in other countries due to war? how someone was shot and killed for shoes? how the police abuse innocent citizens? nothing but bad stuff...ughhh. but they dont report about the good people out there right? go to youtube and watch videos titled "real heroes"...thats what the news doesnt report on. watching those videos will restore your faith in humanity and maybe lift your spirits a bit.
