Hi. That is too bad your doctor has such strong views on medication. I have been struggling with anxiety for a few years now however was able to manage it until after the birth of my second child. My doctor put me on Zoloft and it has helped with the severe anxiety. My hope is to get off it once my hormones are back to normal and I have done some Counselling but for now I really do need it to be a better mother.

maybe ask for a referral to a psychiatrist ?

Hang in there. Anxiety is a beast for sure and unless you have experienced it it is really hard to understand.

Hi. I'm only on Zoloft. I'm currently on 100 mg as I worked my way up from 25mg over a four week span. I also take

.5 mg of clonazapam at night. This will only be short term once stable on Zoloft. I am starting to feel better. Have moments have anxiety and try to breathe through them.

I'm sorry you are not feeling well. Maybe talk to you Dr about increase ? I know my psychiatrist said it is not uncommon for it to take up to 150 to 200 mg of Zoloft for anxiety.

Hang in there

Sometimes meds can give you those side effects but does xanax calm you down. If not working, talk with your doctor. Besides taking meds, we need to do things to help ourselves. Anxiety can get better but you have to do the hard work of reprogramming your thoughts. Definitely not easy but you will get better everyday. Yes, some days are worse than others, but don't give in. It's just anxiety. Also eat healthy foods, exercise, drink lots of water, get sleep. Focus on other things and people. When you are anxious go for walk, do an activity (any kind that keeps your mind occupied ), eat healthy snack , drink water. You made through yesterday, you can make it through today. Positive thoughts make for a better day, negative thoughts makes you have a real bad day. Stay strong and have faith in God. Pray or just talk to him. He loves you no matter what. He will do what's right for you. Make yourself get out everyday. Each day will get easier. I am proof that in time you will feel better and yes I took meds to calm me down so I could work on reprogramming my negative thoughts. I went through crying, depression, loneliness, etc but I kept going. I wanted to feel good again and today I do. Be strong.

Hi. Not really. Just a little. I take it in the morning and around 1 to 3 pm I feel an increase of anxiety and it subsides. I'm hoping to get off the clonazapam at night soon once the Zoloft levels out. I really can't complain I feel a lot better already. Now just need to work on my thinking patterns! Good luck. It may not be so bad😀
