Celexa?: Physc prescribe celexa from anxiety... - Anxiety Support
Celexa?
I have been taking Celexa for 5months now. With regular visits and honest discussion with my gap... I am 'myself' again!!!'If you choose to go the medication route (I was agressive in trying alternative routes, etc.) give it at least six months. Again, keep your doctor informed. You still might have 'learning days' but workable. I still practice Pilates, yoga, cardio/weight, and swim at the gym. Some acupuncture, and reflexology is always nice too. I seem to solve the probs of the world on a walk/run xoxo Sending love
Thank you, how old are you? Also how was it when you first started taking it, what were your symptoms and was it for your anxiety?
My symptoms were insomnia, panic attacks: racing thoughts, thoughts of impending doom, heavy chest, unable to complete regular tasks. Avoided people as best as I could. I used to belly/tribal fusion dance, workout, run, walk.... Some days I would not get out of bed. I took my Mom to A doctor appt., and she left room and he asked how I was doing. I hadn't been sleeping for three months - so was given mild sleeping tablet. Made me too sleepy. Tried celexa 10mg. Now take and remain on 20mg. It has given me the ability to do some 'life reno' - my life is nice but I had baggage. Luckily I have and have developed the tools provided to let go and move on. Oh, and I am 51
Hi, can you please tell me what celexa is used to treat ?? As I have all the same symptoms as you have descibed about yourself above, I'm on sertraline at the moment and they are not working enough, I'm waiting on an appointment to change my meds to what ???
Have you taken anything before celexa?
Celexa is used to treat depression. For me I find it is best if I take it later in the afternoon, as it helps me fall asleep. It was the first and only medication I have tried for my symptoms. It has worked well for me - but it did take some time. It probably took a month to 'kick in'. It doesn't put you in a fog.... I found it gave me a 'pause' time to collect myself so a situation didn't put me in a panic. I also do a lot of physical excersize which had helped me manage my symptoms in the past. Sending love xoxo
