Anxiaty? Idk what it is...

So I was watching a film with my aunt and it was about a young boy who had a dead kid in his dreams and the kid in his dream took him over for short periods of time and made him do things like drown another child and almost kill his mum. Near the end I could feel myself geting anxious and panicy, not exited about the ending of the film kinda feeling. I couldn't stop it, it's kind hard to explain but I get panic attacks and anxiaty but this was different it was a different type of "impending doom" as I like to call it. Does anyone know what this could be?...

It's fear. That was an incredibly negative, dark and evil film so why would you expect to feel happy and cheery after that? If you struggle with anxiety and fear, avoid those type of films. I don't know what your faith is but in my opinion, movies like that are demonic. I used to watch them and they gave me the same effect. Try to stick to watching positive things on TV. Because those feelings are not pleasant at all. :(

I think when you suffer from anxiety we tend to fear everything and what if this happens what If that happens i often think omg I hope that wouldn't happen to me I'm very causious aswell like I'd never walk on a wall near the sea incase a freak gust of wind came and blew me in if my boyfriend is driving fast I can almost imagine a accident happening, we are driven through fear and it sucks and stops us from living life I also think we are deep thinkers and stuff I sometimes watch on tv or movies really affect me sometimes I have to watch the DVD extras to reassure myself that they are only actors there was a film called the boy in the stripped pjs omg it really affected me I couldn't stop crying over the little boy I had to watch the extras google him to get it in to my head it was a movie, try to watch only light things comedies, rom coms spesh on a night before bed xxx

Yes a mind which is running at full speed in an anxious state...this will leave when your mind is still.

It is actually quite normal in an over anxious state to experience these distorted thought.

Find something that calms you, a walk,a hobbie...only watch things you like. Give your mind a rest and normality will return.

For people like us stillness is a daily practice, a bit like going to church
