Fear, anxious = toilet.

If I'm out where there are too many people such as a mall, department stall or even supermarket I get this wave of fear and anxiety so badly I have to use the bathroom. But not once or twice, several times. Ok not nice talking about how many times I go to the toilet but it's all got to do with my anxiety and my symptoms of overwhelming fear. Sometimes it's so bad that I have to go immediately home without doing the grocery shopping. Yesterday I went to Central, a large shopping centre here in Bangkok where I live. I was fine when I left home but as soon as I got to Central the anxiety started, toilet 6 times. Finally I couldn't take it any longer and went home to lie down where upon I felt better.

Does anyone else have this toilet problem when they get over anxious.

I take Lorazapran but one in the evening. I was told to take one also in the morning but I'm trying to be strong and not take it. A few times I took quarter in the morning which kept me at bay. But I never know when I get an anxiety attack and am not going to carry pills around and take one... I'm addicted as it is to one a day since 5 years.

Your anxiety is getting the best of you. This can be very stressful and ruin anything you want to do or need to get done. It's time to make a change and 'overcome' this 'overwhelming' fear!

I ran across this blog and thought it might be helpful to you. vanwyckconsulting.com/chang...

Best of luck!

This happens to me! My husband has it the worst though. He gets it really bad! It's no fun but it's all related to the anxiety!

Morning all.. Yes it does ruin a lot. No matter where I go the first thing I need to know is "where is the toilet". Which I end up using 3 or 4 or 5 times. Then I'm too afraid to do the shopping so end up going home. It's so debilitating. I remember once in France I had to go desperately and the shop I went into wouldn't allow me to use their staff toilet...... Lolol.

My therapist explained why we feel the need to throw up or evacuate our bowels when we have a panic attack. It our bodies way of preparing for fight or flight . To be able to take flight we need to lighten our weight to run . If our body prepares us to fight like many animals facing predators we give of foul smells. Sounds vulgar but actually our bodies are fantastic at protecting us . If I feel the need to evacuate my bowels in the supermarket its usually because I have seen the price of beef lol x

Hahahahahaha. At least you have lightened the subject . I just left the supermarket and spent the hour in panic mode fearing I will have to leave my trolley half full with the same little THAI girl and Rush to the loo... She is used to me now though she probably wonders what the heck is wrong. But hard as it may be to believe... I didn't go to the bathroom. Shocked even myself. Shock horror but it's probably a first. And being in Thailand and not trusting them as far as I can throw them I carry baby wipes and a role of paper everywhere I go.... Hehehe. Oh well at least I can laugh about it.
