Is hypnotherapy against the bible? Im really worried now about it i wanted to overcome my anxiety wit that but if its against it i dont want to do it anymore. I was learning it the right way and how it helps alot of people and many people dont understand how it works. Hypnosis is in our daily life. When we space out while driving forget what we did.

I don't think so. I think when you take someone's free will or use it inappropriately it is. I asked myself this very thing a few months ago. Just test it out. If you get an uneasy feeling, then just discontinue it

Ive done it to calm myself from an anxiety attack but i wanted to study it to help people as well. To stop bad habits smoking drinking, lose weight anxiety and depression. Ive felt how good a person feels after they open their eyes.

You say that you are worried about hypnotherapy and what the bible says about it.

The scripture that I have found that I think fits the bill is at Deuteronomy 18:10-12 where it says:

10 There should not be found in you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire,+ anyone who employs divination,+ anyone practicing magic,+ anyone who looks for omens,+ a sorcerer,+ 11 anyone binding others with a spell, anyone who consults a spirit medium+ or a fortune-teller,+ or anyone who inquires of the dead.+ 12 For whoever does these things is detestable to Jehovah, and on account of these detestable practices Jehovah your God is driving them away from before you.

Do of course check this out in your own bible assuming that you have one.
