Allergies?

I know this isn't really linked to anxiety, but my parents about a week ago bought a toy poodle and since she came home my allergies have been horrible and I've been having troubles breathing. Apperently they are hypoallergenic dogs, but is there anyway I could be allergic ? :/

I think you could be allergic still. Now, there is always the possibility you have thought yourself into symptoms if you had already convinced yourself you would be allergic. But most likely, in my opinion, if the allergies started without you thinking about it, it does sound legit. I remember my first attempt at having a pet in the house and by the 4th day, my allergies were so bad that I had trouble breathing as well. I gave the pet away since I didn't have any other options and my allergies went away. Talk to your parents about it and let them know what's going on. Keep your room vacuumed and dusted until something is figured out.

Thank you it means a lot, but we still have the dog, my parents don't believe me and nothing I've said has convinced them because poodles are supposed to

Be hypoallergenic but I know I'm allergic to the dog. And I'm just not sure how I'm going to have them believe me.

Well that stinks. :/ I guess if it's still bothering you that bad, going to the doctor and asking about allergy testing would show whether you are or not. But that's a lot to go through. If you're having bad allergies, they will eventually notice and put the two together.
