Do anybody have sleep apnea? if so, what symptoms do you have? Everyday im jolting out of sleep, gasping in my sleep, feeling like I'm going to lose my breath. This is very scary. Please help!

Well, waking and gasping for air is a symptom. Just wondering, did you have the symptoms before or after you learned about sleep apnea?

I don't think that I had that symptom. Its been this way for a short whole. A year or two!

This happens to me lot. Never seen a doctor about it. It happens at least 3-4 times a night but only in the first hour of sleep. I wake up jolting and wake up feeling like ive stopped breathing and I have to catch my breath.

Yea, it's usually the first hour for me as well or sometimes throughout the night!

My friend has sleep apnea and after spending a night being monited in a sleep clinic , now wears a special mask to sleep in. I suggest you tell your doctor.

my partner has sleep apnea and has to wear a sleep mask. before he got this he had to wear a monitor that measured how often he was waking. he basically was never sleeping more than 5 mins at a time consequently he fell asleep on buses at work etc. the mask definitely helps and he takes it with him everywhere. I think it took a while to get used to but now he wouldn't be without it. i would go and talk to your doctor and see if they can arrange for you to see a specialist.
