I've been suffering from bad insomnia lately but I went to sleep this morning about 10 am and woke up at 7pm. Could this make my anxiety worser? I feel so poorly and I'm scared!

Anyone find too much sleep makes your anxiety worse?
With me it tends to be the other way round. I get a bad night's sleep because I'm worrying about something, then the next day the tiredness makes me feel bad and feeds the anxiety. Actually that's a big problem for me at the moment. I keep waking up in the night and then I start worrying about things so can't get back to sleep.
I would be surprised if to much sleeps making your anxiety worse !i find if i dont get sleep thats when my anxiety gets worse ! The only thing i would say sleeping during the day wouldnt help as you are up all night on your own ! If need be ask your doctor for a short term sleeping medication to get your sleeping pattern back good luck (david)
I wouldn't think that sleeping could make your anxiety worse unless you have bad dreams and these affect your anxiety. I'm like Damien and find I wake up a lot and can't get back to sleep What i would suggest is that sleeping during the day is not a good idea unless you work/study or whatever through the night. i know someone who does this as he runs his own business so finds it easier to work at night. I would suggest a routine before going to bed that helps you to relax.

Hi,
I don't think too much sleep feeds the anxiety, what I do find, is that your body clock gets out of sync, one night without sleep, the next night sleeping too much, it's about getting balance but so hard when we suffer with anxiety.

Yes, I feel that having too much sleep make the brain fog worse as my brain is processing the anxious thoughts faster, when I'm tired they my mind feels more sedated and at ease
Rest is good when your suffering from anxiety. My therapist told me people ( including myself ) that suffer from anxiety don't always reach a deep sleep causing them to be tense and that tension builds and builds. Don't be worried you must've been exhausted just try to relax. Take medication if you have any.
