I just wondered this earlier. Every doctor has said ask my "ailments" come from anxiety. So I have classified every ache, pain, heart attack feeling, heart palpitations, absolutely everything as anxiety. So.. what happens if it's not. If something becomes wrong with me and I dismiss it as anxiety. I'm just confused some days if my anxiety is anxiety or if there's ever a time be worried.

There's an answer to that, but you should only hear from your doctor. If you see it in here or you read about it somewhere else your anxiety can just go crazy.
Trust me it happened to me.
So please if you want to really know ask your doc

It sounds like you have a health anxiety which will make you worry excessively about your health. I share your problem, a lot of the times I find it hard to know if I am unwell or is it my anxiety telling me I am. I am sure your doctor is right as he has probably checked you out. Anxiety can cause a lot of aches and pains in the body and it can also cause you to worry about those aches and pains. Sometimes we have to try and alter our perspectives and remember that a doctor would not lie to you about your health matters as he would be putting his job on the line if he were to tell you something that wasnt true. If your doctor has told your that your health concerns are down to anxiety he is probably right. It might be worth going back to him and explaining your still have concerns about your health and you are worrying about it and maybe asked to be referred to see a therapist. Therapy has helped me a lot with this condition. I wish you all the best and though it is easy for me to say please try not to worry too much
Hi
I would like to add a note of caution of everything down to anxiety.
I have just been told I have most probably arthritis in my hips which was has stayed dismissed and undiagnosed for many yrs due to having a mental health problem. I had a major operation last yr due to another misdiagnosis being treated as anxiety. I am having fits which have gone on for 6 weeks now only just had an MRI scan to check for actual health problems. Again my generalized anxiety disorder was and probably being blamed despite evidence otherwise.
I realise that members of this board may suffer from health anxiety which must be very crippling thinking every symptom is a serious illness and obviously this needs to be addressed and treated appropriately. But I would say listen to your body and don't be fobbed off if you feel that your are physically unwell and you feel you are not being listened to keep going back until someone does. My GP practice have failed me twice and unfortunately it looks like it may be a third time. I feel people with mental health problems are often not being taken seriously when it comes to be diagnosed and treated with genuine physical health problems.

Have your blood checked and make sure they check all your levels including Vitamin D. I am deficient in D and it could make you feel really crappy.
