Hi Kiki and welcome:)

I've suffered with anxiety for 20yrs and I've had CBT.

I had to wait just over a year.

You will find this forum very helpful, there is lots of advice on here.

While your waiting for CBT, checkout the website "Headspace" this will keep you calm and relaxed.

Good luck x

Will do yummimummi thank you I certainly need calm and relaxation

Hi KiKi & Welcome :-)

I love your name , my daughter has a daughter called Kia & we call her KiKi dee as a nick name :-)

I am sorry you are suffering with anxiety but keep posting on here , everyone understands & as people get to know you & how your anxiety is affecting you the most you will get lots of support & knowing you are not alone really does help :-)

8 weeks can seem a long time when you are waiting to see a therapist but some areas have longer waiting lists than others so its not unusual , hopefully your appointment will come soon but in the meantime if you have a contact number you could phone & ask if they could tell you if they have any idea how much longer you will be waiting , it could be worth a try

Love

Good advice why why thank you. I've not heard the name Kia before ( except the car) my sister started calling me LiLi because when we first got mobile phone. KiKi used to come up at LiLi in a text message. So she started calling me LiLi and now I am Auntie LiLi to her 3 year old daughter who struggles to say KiKi. She called my husband Dave uncle Daze! I look forward to the forum.

Hi kiki,

I'm sorry to hear you suffer from general anxiety, I too have been battling with anxiety for about 4 & a half years now but I somehow have managed to keep it under control by giving myself some slack every now & then & try to eliminate bad comments & thoughts away from my mind.

Thank you for your message Abenaa. Bad comments are a trigger but I think a lot of what I hear is distorted. Or it's perceived differently than it was supposed to be petceived. When i have had bad experiences i expect them again so they make me anxious. Why can't I expect good experiences. That would be very nice!!
