Has anyone taken metronidazole?

I have a phobia of vomiting (emetophobia) and I've been given metronidazole for a dental infection but the side effects sound awful. Has anyone else taken it? How was their experience?

Just dont drink alcohol with them there should be a warning on the box

I a very bad infection and needed to take these I put it off and infection got much worse. I was afraid after reading side effects but when I explained to pharmacist they told me that although they seem bad not everyone gets them and if they do they don't get them all. I took them for 7 days and was absolutely fine. They just made me more tired than usual. Do not have any alcohol 1 day before taking, no alcohol while taking and none for 1 day after you finish as they will make you very sick if you do. Once you take as directed you'll be fine don't be like me and let the infection get worse.
