I’m Back

Hello all, after days of constant anxiety and bad sleep, I decided to take the steps of being admitted into an in patient psychiatric ward. That was on Friday last week, I spent almost a full week there. It was overall a good experience, they’re treating my obsessive intrusive thoughts on suicide as a symptom of OCD. The medication I’m on now seems to be taking the teeth out of these thoughts and the in patient treatment got me into an IOP.

3 days a week of 3-4 hours of group therapy is what I’ll be doing alongside this medication, and they have a psychiatrist on staff to address the meds I’m taking.

hope everyone is doing good here!

Hi and thanks for your post. It's great that you found a safe place to get yourself back on track. I imagine booking yourself in to a psych facility is a much better experience than being sectioned and detained.

I have heard good things about these outpatient groups. You are going to be OK.
