Has anyone taken an maoi for depression.

I’ve had major depressive disorder for over 30 years. I have taken every ssri, snri, antidepressants and even maoi’s. I’ve done tms treatments, ketamine infusions, etc. I’ve had breaks where sometimes the meds would help but once my body got use to them they’d quit working. It doesn’t matter what class of antidepressants I take, they all quit working after a year or so.

has anyone out there had this happen to them?. It’s very frustrating.

I just started Parnate this past week. I am hoping it will work. I’ve taken it before years ago and it did work for about a year, then it just stopped. Hoping it will work again. Does anyone have experience with Parnate?

yes I’ve tried buspar and it didn’t do anything for me. I’ve tried everything 😂. Seriously I truly have. Thanks for replying to me.😊

No, never took it. But I'm like you, except the drugs never worked in the first place. Had ECT - too scary - lost some memory. I take nothing now, and just suffer & try to do my best. Except for sleep, I need antianxiety drug, which does work. What you're going through is very common, unfortunately.

Very True! I'll bet half the people I've known with depression are treatment resistant. Then, they want you to take another drug to counteract all that! Please! I think it's all about money....

Beavis, I agree with you.it is all about money. It’s the big pharmaceutical companies making money off people with any illness.
