Parnate

I've been prescribed generic parnate. I gave treatment resistant depression. It was in back order and is now at the pharmacy. I am afraid to start it. Have been doing a deep dive on food restrictions and there is so much conflicting information out there.

On top of what parnate normally does, I am now dealing with beta receptors that now are trying to deal with 100% of my adrenaline, instead of just a portion of it that used to be blocked.

Just got up to 30mg/day on Tranylcypromine (Parnate), an MAOI. Having what seems like some motor-function issues, along with a lot of dizziness and light-headedness after reaching the 30mg dosage mark.

Lithium and Parnate (MAO) were finally prescribed and I have been taking them for about 40 years and they have served as a prophylactic with success. A few years ago I stupidly stopped taking the medications. I experienced an acute episode.

I am 61 yrs old and have been on Parnate since my early 20's. I had tried numerous drugs and the only one that helped me was Parnate.

The doctor is muttering about something for Parkinsons but I take Parnate and a lot of drugs are not compatible with this. I also take Lamotrigine as a mood stabilizer. Is this RLS? Any suggestions for my dilemma? I'm disparate for sleep.... Cheena11

I've been prescribed Tranylcypromine for more than twenty years although I haven't needed treatment for Clinical Depression for over fifteen years. My GP would rather I wasn't on it at all because of the problems it causes should I need certain other medications or anaesthesia any time in the future

It's very hard to judge what to put down to Monday blues and what to attribute to going without my morning dose. I've had less energy and focus today and been unable to carry out my usual long walk, managing only two thirds of it. I've felt a bit listless and lacking drive. I don't know whether to attribute
