My anxiety is popping up randomly when I have no need to be anxious. I feel like I am in a chronic state of Fight or Flight. I feel anxious going to bed and I use Headspace to help me sleep. When I wake up the anxiety returns and any time I am not busy doing something. It's becoming more frequent. I have lavender tea, stress gummies, lavender oil, a weighted blanket, a fidget ring and I can't seem to shake it. I don't have the funds for therapy. What tricks do you use to help curb anxious feelings?

Anxious and trying to get by.

Hi RubyAndTheBlues...I'd like to Welcome you to a safe supportive
community. I am happy you are with us. Looking over your bio, it does
look like anxiety has followed you for many years. The Mind/Body
Connection is a strong one. I would suspect that you may be inadvertently
having stressful thoughts which are causing you the physical symptoms.
To quiet the Fight or Flight stance, may I suggest you try Meditation and
Breathing *found on YouTube....I have been using this technique for years
and it has prompted me to find peace and tranquility before bed, upon
awakening and 5 minutes midafternoon. Oh it's not a one time shot but
upon using it continually each day your mind will be retrained and respond
to stress quickly. Your breathing is something no one will see but it will
provide you with the oxygen you need to lower that ever lit adrenaline.
I am letting you know what works for me. At least give it a try and a
chance to help you some. Breathe xx
i’ve been experiencing it exactly the same as you described with the intrusive thought that i’m losing my mind which gaslight the anxiety and things go all over the place inside my head sheesh! which causes my anxiety not only to intensify but to last all day smh i’ve learned from different ones here in the group that anxiety cause this fear of losing my mind and that breathing techniques helps out a lot with both the anxiety and thoughts and also meditation and taking walks or opening up to someone your comfortable with and tell them about it also helps wishing you the best of luck and relief 💛
I focus myself on mindfulness sometimes; nonjudgmental watching the experiences as they unfold. I sometimes believe that anything that happens is guiding me to what is best for me.
