Hi- just looking for guidance. I have had a rough 6 months. Bladder infections monthly so a lot of different meds; a car accident; a car that died; so dealing with trying to buy a new car. Laid off from job. Over the past few weeks, I find myself not sleeping, shaking, dry mouth, not wanting to talk, not really functioning. I barely want to leave the house. I have had several med tests and they show everything is normal. So in googling symptoms- anxiety comes up. Is this what others feel? How can you tell if it’s anxiety? Can this be handled without more meds? I am on so many for infections. Thanks for listening.

it for sure could be anxiety. Medication can help with these symptoms but also require work, usually with a therapist, on your part. If you’re dealing with severe symptoms you can be prescribed something like Valium or Xanax which are likely to relieve these symptoms, but it’s recommended that you only take them short term as they can be addictive.
Hi Sassy100, I can certainly say that you are under a lot of stress which
may be causing your body to respond in what you are going through.
I am not a doctor but I have seen women who have struggled through
bladder infections have their anxiety elevated by the antibiotics alone.
Please run this by your prescribing physician. It's worth checking into
since you seem to have multiple UTIs. My best dear. xx
Stress can definitely cause or contribute to anxiety as well as physical aspects like having your hormones, thyroid and adrenals not functioning properly since they affect mood.
