Pristiq after Effexor

Hi all,I have been taking 50 mg Effexor for 18 years to help with migraines. It was increased recently, and now has caused harm to my liver. I need to get off as quickly as possible.

1. Has anyone cross-tapered from effexor to pristiq? Was it successful? What was the timeline? Dosages?

2. Did anyone have any adjustment period the first week or two? I didn't have issues at first, but now have very heightened anxiety. I really need this to work, and will push through if it's only temporary.

Thanks for any info you can provide.

hi, Effexor or Venlafaxine is very difficult to come off I have read a lot about it as I want to come off it as it’s stopped working for me. Look on Utube for advice. Good luck
