The last 6 weeks my eyes start start to strain around lunch time and by the end of the day they are fried. I am an elementary technology teacher and the screen time is just killing me. I asked for a blue screen filter in December but wasn't ordered until this week. When it arrived the specs were wrong. I received a privacy filter not blue screen. I also need computer distance-reading prescription glasses but I used my vision insurance for regular transition glasses because my vision changed and I can only get new glasses every other year. ugg

I can relate to staring at that screen.
Have you ever tried the type of glasses you can buy on Amazon?? I'm wondering if it might help a bit?

I have a couple of pairs. One pair are orange gaming blue light glasses. That helps but also I am facig problems that I need the perscription glasses to see the screen. I can see from the bottom of my transition glass but have to strain my neck and eyes to make it work.
When people say " oh you have a desk job" it's kind of maddening. They have no clue the toll it takes on the eyes, our posture, strain on shoulders and neck, never mind if you sit their too long the legs don't work when you try and get up lol
Can they change the lens on that frame?
They probably could but I need those glasses for normal everday things away from the computer. So I need two different type of glasses.
I wish I had a helpful answer for you
I know and I appreciate your concerns and help. I am going to try calling my vision insurance and eye doctor to see if they have any advice. Maybe there is a loophole or exception for changing circumstances. Or get a letter of medical necessity for my work????
I wear glasses with the blue screen light filter in them. And you still have to take breaks for a bit here and there I think.
thank you for the reminder. I have orange blue screen glasses and do get a break about every 45mins
