I didn’t get cake on my birthday

it seems like such a minor thing to have happen, but I didn’t get cake on my birthday and idk why specifically that has me feeling really down. For so many years it was a constant but even that’s not even a constant for me. I don’t know. Just need to shoot that out into the void.

I say, go buy yourself a slice of cake or a small one at your local grocery store. You know, the whole I Can Buy Myself Flowers - Miley Cyrus thing of not letting yourself get down or discouraged when someone's not there to do it for you. I've bought cake for myself several times over the years😗 In fact, the other day I was thinking about the times I didn't get cake for my birthday and bought myself a small celebration cake just because 😉

I had a cake sitting in the freezer somebody made just was told not to touch it. Idk

Me either.... but I compensated with chocolate and getting myself new paint colors....sometimes we have to not expect anything from anyone and become our own best advocate....plan your own birthday, and anything else is just a extra....

I've bought my own cake for years, then I get the kind I like.

I've sung to myself, blown out the candle and made a wish.
