I see so many of you in need of encouragement and support. This world can be cruel.. but it doesn't have to be. We can help each other as long as we stick together and help one another through thick and bitter.
Here's a question I want to ask you;
Do you prefer chain restaurants or local restaurants?
Let me know in the comments! Stay safe, ya'll!
Yours truly,
Asoingerbob.

I like three local restaurants. Billito's, Luigi's, and Tony's. My favorite entrees from them are either Baked Tortellini, or Baked Ravioli with Alfredo sauce. 😋
with my crazy lifestyle of working 7 days a week, having a meal out is a luxury. However, 3 meals stand out for me in 2024 in the Los Angeles area. Factor’s Famous Deli in Pico Robertson neighborhood of Los Angeles - fabulous Jewish chicken matzo ball soup; excuse the misspelling- gorgeous Neopolitan restaurant tucked in a garden like setting in a funky part of Hollywood. Delicious Neopolitan pizza with gooey chunks of Mozzarella cheese on top and Angus beef meatballs with Burris cheese and Al dente spaghetti- Micaela Antica. And finally at the Senior living facility where I am a receptionist- one night I was getting over a cold and they made me a delicious bowl of Minestrone soup.
I can imagine....it's been a good long while since I was working in L.A.....I think it was Canters.. this place has there for decades....oh yeah baby.... corn beef on rye stacked a mile high.....that's livin.
A nosh on a bit of knish?.... yeah baby ....I'm a huge lox, cream cheese and bagel girl, around the holidays the good stuff comes out in the markets....we have some of the best cured salmon in the world....
Oh does that sound yummy. When I was a little girl, my family would get together on Sunday mornings and have lox cream cheese pickled herring, bagels, rugaluch and other yummy things. Brings back fond memories
There are nice memories. But the older I get, sometimes it’s hard to reminisce. I feel lonely at times. I’m planting the seeds in my mind to make major changes for 2025. I need a job with regular hours and eventually go back to working 5 days a week.
that sounds like and excellent plan .... with the two days you could sleep, and relax and also get back to the museums, and galleries, coffee shop discussions....and events.
Local restaurants, helps the local economy, they can also supply local 'goodies' specific to their own local areas, not the regurgitated "muck" brought in usually with their additives and ultra processed "food" from the 'food chain restaurants'!
