Does anyone else have this issue? I have been a supportive person all my life. I always have people coming to me for advise and suport but now that I am struggling with mental health issues, i've discovered that I have no one to go to in return
Even among my friends and family.

Yeah I can't rely on parents or friends as they would put me straight in hospital. So I try to cope or fake behaviour. Bottle up or ignore feelings. Would you like to share what has got you down the most? How are you feeling today?
It's really not so much that my friends, etc aren't supportive as much as they can't relate I think. On the weekend my sis and I had an appointment together, but when we got there I had a panic attack in the car and couldn't get out for a few minutes. ( I also struggle with PTSD). She got upset with me and forced me to go in because she was frustrated. This only seemed to increase my panic. I was traumatized all week over that. Not to mention horribly embarrassed. And I thinks she's still upset with me about it.
I'm sorry you going it alone without real support. Finding out about it there might be some panic attacks youtube or PTSD youtube sites just google might help others, your sis to understand it more. It is worth mentioning to doctors and breathing techniques on youtube might be all important. Meds and other counselling techniques to better help you when you can't cope with it. Otherwise keep talking on here till you see you are not alone. Many people manage their condition with and can give better insight into Meds they have used. Everybody's chemical/body different and meds need to suit you but have word with your doctor and always keep updating doctor on how you are doing.
Hi Big, I too have similar issues. I am retired and have always been the go to person for other people. I had brain surgery in 2021 after a brain bleed and have been more anxious and depressed since. Many people don’t understand and I feel alone so I just joined this group. You are not alone.
Thank you Kit. This is my first post on this group and I already feel supported. Feeling alone is not fun, but being able to share and hear from others helps.
yes!!! This has occurred to me in the past at some the moment! It makes me very fearful that one day I will be alone in this ugly world. Alone and fighting everything by myself
Thank you Can. It's a very sobering thought for sure. And scary. Currenly I am recognizing that a lot of the relationshjps I have been in have been one sided, Hopefully I can turn this around. This group forum helps a lot though. Thank you all for that!
