Will my MRI scan show other results πŸ€”

I'm due a scan next week, and I know they are looking at a growth in my pelvic area, but I have arthritis in my shoulders and I was wondering if the scan would show any damage, wear and tear, as my back is absolutely agony in the morning, I'm not getting hardly any sleep, I'm hoping that the specialist can see other things besides this growth, I had a CT scan done with a contrasting dye a few weeks ago and this even picked up a fatty lump in my shoulder, but obviously this was picked up and now I'm hoping a different scan could show things in my back; but obviously they aren't really looking at anything else, thanks for any suggestions πŸ˜€

I believe it can find results if they scan in that area.

Since you already see a fatty substance in your shoulder that's probably some sort of bursitis or arthritic condition. And since you got the Ct scan with contrast that would definitely Show some things in your back when you go for your appointment ask them if they see anything else in your back they may tell you exactly what the problem is period. I don't think that they would say they can't tell you And just tell them That you had the CT scan for your pelvic because on the opposite side of your pelvic area is your lower back. Tell them something like that so they'll let you know what's wrong with your back too. Also since you were a roofer I believe you said and worked hard labor jobs for most of your life you might have the beginnings of stenosis which my husband has too. He was a roofer for 10 years. Stenosis is narrowing of the spine. Some have it worse than others do though but I'm guessing since you did manual labor jobs all your life you definitely have some back issues from carrying stuff up and down ladders if you did that absolutely definitely without a doubt you should look into it fully. My husband did get some relief from doing physical therapy. Others like chiropractors but they actually crack your back which in the long run I don't know if that's all that good to keep cracking your bones I'm not sure I used to get my neck cracked after I got into a car accident and I always was scared that my neck was going to break that's what it felt like to me so you might opt to do the physical therapy instead. Good luck with everything CB and let me know how things turn out. Wishing you get well soon.

Ah thanks for your in depth reply, yes I've done everything in the building trade, started off mixing tons of browning in a metal bath, carrying it in buckets πŸͺ£ digging foundations for housing; shovel and skip with a plank to ditch the mud or clay into. And carrying marley roof tiles on my shoulders up and down ladders, went onto the " tools"

And did plastering and wall and floor tiling, full bathroom suites ripped out and completed, even tiled a kitchen floor for a famous ex England manager!!!

Yes its not been easy the last couple of years,I really feel

"Worn out " I hope the camera job I have on Monday is bearable I'm having sedation but I still remember the last procedure truly awful and very painful, thanks again for your reply!!!

Your welcome CB. I'm hoping that you are pain free for this procedure. My husband's legs hurt him too. He had clubbed feet and thumbs when he was born but thankfully he was corrected but they took his tendons in his knee and spliced them to operate on his feet and hands. He went through 3 operations when he was small. He has a lot of scar tissue that's beginning to give him issues now unfortunately. He has a pretty high tolerance for pain I guess. He tries not to complain much but I know he hurts. Best of luck on your procedure Monday. We hope all goes well for you on Monday.
