Labor Day sucks

I live in the U.S. and we celebrate Labor Day. Meaning there’s no work today. Days off is a killer for me I have nothing to do at least that’s what my mind tells me. I woke up at 830am then I got up and layed on my couch for 3 more hrs no tv no social media just closed my eyes. I finally got out of the house but I feel very depressed. Just wanted to vent cuz I know you’ll understand.

Do you havecany hobbies or other interests? Volunteer work? Read a book? Go for a walk? I do know how hard it is to get motivated to do things

I'm so sorry I also relate to this. I know for those days (like yesterday) I have a low effort hobby that gives me tangible results. For me it is knitting scarves, or a hat using a loom. It is very easy, produces a physical item of value and allows me to think of those I love. If I'm not making something for a loved one I think about donating what I am making to a nursing home to keep an older person warm and make them feel loved. Perhaps you could find something similar? I have a friend also with depression and she crochets baby blankets. Idk I hope this helps, it won't necessarily make you feel better all at once but I find over time it is helpful.
