I've been struggling with mood swings and anxiety. Sometimes, it's the result of a specific "thing" that's happening in my life, and I'm obsessing (or just thinking too much) about that thing - but other times, that's really not the case, and I can just physically feel my mood starting to head downhill. I go for walks (helps that I live near the beach), go to recovery meetings, and sometimes use things like a simple 5-4-3-2-1 sensory exercise to keep me present... but it's not enough. What do you do for this kind of mood crash? (I do have a therapist and psychiatrist - they help some, but I don't see them that often.)

Hi tromboneliness, it does sound like you have all bases covered. Sometimes
we all need that little extra umph to get us through a difficult moment.
I use music. Oh not sad, oh woe is me kind of music but music that inspires and
makes me believe in myself again.
My favorite is Rachel Platten's "Fight Song" (Official Video) on YouTube.
Each time it brings back the belief in myself and what I can accomplish in Life.
