I have insomnia and anxiety. I think my insomnia has to do with sleep apnea for which I have Cpap. The insomnia sets off my anxiety. I'm trying so hard not to worry about everything but it's hard when you don't sleep.

Hello and welcome! Yes, the struggle sure is real!! I have severe sleep apnea and use a CPAP. I find that it works the best when it's clean and has water in the chamber.It's awful how everything piggybacks on everything else, isn't it? Lack of sleep or poor sleep quality makes everything a hundred times worse.
Have you found a way to deal with poor sleep? I've tried different meds. to no avail. Feeling hopeless.
My sleep issues are very complex. I don't have insomnia. I have sleep apnea and RLS. When I get break-through symptoms, it renders CPAP useless since I can't lie in bed. And then I can't take sleep aids because most prescribed and OTC ones are known to worsen RLS. I do pick and choose carefully what I eat several hours before bed. I know that things with massive amounts of sugar in them like ice cream are a sure sign for a bad night, so I avoid those. Might also work for insomnia to avoid those, but not sure.
