it’s been 6 months since I was taken into intensive care due to low sodium. As this was partly caused by citalopram, the hospital stopped it immediately. I am still struggling to be normal. I am horrible to my family, I have hateful thoughts, am very anxious. I cannot sleep, which makes me more tired, miserable and constantly tearful. Has anybody else experienced these feelings. I hate myself but I can’t control the way I am. I make an issue of everything. Any tips from you kind people.

So sorry to hear you are suffering like this. For me the clue is in the fact the hospital took you straight off Citalopram. You don't say how long you had been on it but usually the advice is to come of slowly and gradually just to avoid the very symptoms you describe! Of course you can't retake it, so all I can recommend is taking a natural remedy like St John's Wort which did really help me.
I’d taken it for 7 years, the hospital took me off citalopram, ramipril and omeprazele, because they all contributed to my low sodium levels.
