I’m in the car on my way to the dock. I’m really scared. I haven’t eaten much today but I did just eat a bagel. I don’t want to get sea sick. I’m scared any movement will make me anxious.

My head is hurting and I keep thinking about how sick I’ll feel in the boat

I know it's difficult not to focus on that. Think about the sunshine and fresh air. Breathing slowly in and out. I bet a lot of folks getting on are a bit anxious as well. Nothing wrong with that. Once your there on board, take a walk around. Find a restroom and put some cool water on your face. You're doing good. This part will be over shortly and you will be feeling very calm.

Daisy, having some dry crackers and sipping on Iced Ginger Ale might help

reduce any queasy stomach. Ginger has a calming effect on the stomach. :) xx

I agree with Agora, I tend to keep a bag of crystallised ginger in my bag when travelling as I’m not a great traveler in any kind of vehicle. I also nibble on plain crackers or plain crisps as an empty stomach can make it worse. Also well done for making that step 💙

Most of the time you don't even feel the movement of the ship or feel like you're moving. Hope you have a wonderful time!! Think of the warm beaches and the sunshine.
