i am exhausted from constantly worrying about finances and my marriage. I feel like I’m watching a bad movie and just need to be slapped out of this funk

60 years of age, and still in the same position. I know a way out would be to share with my spouse, but I never managed to do that.

I am a worrier too and it is exhausting! Have you tried tapping meditations? They help me.

Hi,Thank you for your post.

Trouble comes all shapes and sizes. When it arrives, you really need a good person to talk with.

The first option is sharing with a family or friend who can provide a listening ear and support then maybe a few sessions with a therapist.

If you have an employee assistance program (EAP) provided by an employer, you can self-refer to it for free & confidential counselling.

There are two things you might like to try for yourself:

1. completing a "what advice would I give to my friend in the same situation?" exercise

2. Writing ✍ down the issues, consequences and possible solutions. This way you create a plan of action and if you make it a SMART plan you can find resolution 😉

If you like reading, a good self help book is Feeling Good by David Burns.

Looking after yourself first is important too. Try some yoga🧘‍♀️, meditation or other relaxation techniques to decrease your stress.

You have the ability to bounce back. 🐈‍⬛
