Trauma bonding

My story is so long. Basically I was in an abusive relationship that now led me to be trauma bonded to my husband. He has left, and I’ve been searching for help everywhere and either cannot afford it or not available. I feel soooo lost, depressed, anxiety, loneliness, you name it and I don’t know where to get help cause I clearly need it.

Hello Coinangel and welcome to the group.

If you are in the US there's a number you can dial 211. It's the United Way and they can help you find mental health support or center to get you the care you need at a very low cost or no cost at all. Also there are universities that can take you on as a client for therapy. After all people who are going to be licensed counselors or therapist need to practice. So they either have an on campus or off campus sight where they can see you. Now you won't be in there with the student alone, you will also be with a licensed professional. These places either will work with whatever you got to even taking on for free.

And of course this is a support group. If you feel you need support or advice you can come here. We're always here

Wishing you healing and peace 🫂 ❤️

You recognized that you're relationship with the person was/is still traumatic. That's a huge deal! I think clevergirl has the right idea in their post; there are resources available, you just have to take the time to look. If you're in the States, try NAMI.org. You might find some insight there. If you're in the UK, I'd start with poking the NHS for ideas and contacts, but I don't know about how it works over there.
