I have GAD and health anxiety. Last night I was able to go to see a symphony without having a panic attack, without medication. I did get a little bit of anxiety at the end, and had to leave before the crowd. However, I was proud of myself. My husband says I still need to deal with crowd anxiety. I spent over three years in therapy learning to deal with GAD. I am not looking forward to going back to therapy. Anyway, next weekend I will attend an MLB game. It should be easier for me because the event is outside. I wanted to post this to encourage those of you with anxiety to take baby steps. Last night was a major breakthrough for me because I haven't attended an inside event since Covid.

Well done on the symphony punkster. That’s real progress, especially since we all got out of the habit of going places due to Covid.
I went to a MLB game this past Fri and had a great time, although our team lost. It was still a lot of fun, good atmosphere and I’m glad I went.
Keep up the outings. Nothing much good comes from sitting at home all the time. Hope your post inspires others to get out, enjoy a change of scenery and socialize more often. Getting out of my house gets me out of my head, which is usually a good thing.
I’m really happy for you and hope you enjoy the game.
Hi punkster, I'm so proud of you.
It sounds like you found the key to unlock the door
of your mind. Opening it a little wider each time will
allow you to realize that you had the power all this time.
Enjoy the upcoming MLB game. You've got this.
Thanks for your positive post. xx
Great for you!.... but now I'm dying to know what was on at the symphony 😋 !! I wish you the best at your MLB game too! You got this!
The philharmonic played Mozart and Bartok. There was also a world renowned pianist there, who blew my mind.
Hi Punkster! Congratulations on your accomplishments. That takes courage.
Congratulations punkster! Well done!
