hey everyone- not really sure how this works but I’m a 40 y/o lgtbq female whose been diagnosed as bipolar, depression, ptsd, anxiety, etc—- mostly bc I haven’t responded to any of the treatments I’ve received over the past 2 decades.
Currently unemployed in the mental health field. Don’t have much social support. Looking to make connections, get advice on rebuilding your life, etc.

I can relate. I just recently resigned from my job due to my bipolar disorder and am trying to get disability. I have worked my whole life so this is all new to me and it is not easy. Do you have a therapist? I have a great one who really helps me deal with all my feelings and stuff. I have treatment resistant depression and the only thing that has worked for me is ECT (Electroconvulsive Therapy-shock therapy) I don't recommend it unless you absolutely can't find anything else that works. It has worked wonders for me, but it is not easy to go through. I would try therapy first and find a good psychiatrist too.
