just curious is that always how you would describe your soul or does it change because I feel this way some days but not always.

My soul didn't start out this way....but one of the worlds I've lived in for the last 26 years has definitely played a part in it...hoping that I get a lot of my light back in August

Neglected and abused - I hope for Survival and hope - use everyone and any methods you can to get you through it - through the darkness and find peace and keep trying for mental health stability - all we can do is try and try again

I don't believe your soul is dark and lost. Something else, but not your soul. It's more likely to be your ego struggling to find meaning in the world. Do you miss your work now that you have retired? There may be other ways now that you can reach out to others in a situation where you can give and receive at the same time. But you don't need advice about this; I'm sure you know where to go to find opportunities for finding yourself and reaching some kind of light in your life. Thinking of you.😊😊

Haven't retired yet...hopefully in August. Right now very mixed emotions

Ah. Somehow I imagined it was last August! I've lost track of time completely. So now you're in a different position (job?) and the stress has reduced, perhaps you are feeling unsure about retirement. I retired gradually, just letting it happen, but I guess you can't do that.

I can go from full time to part time...but I've always said that when I retire....I'm not coming back. For me it's more about leaving people behind that I've developed pretty close relationships with. You become a family

I absolutely agree with you. As a music teacher, I allowed my students to leave me, rather than the other way round. So it was a natural progression into retirement. However, I did continue to perform until our conductor retired and my compression fractures caused too much pain in performance. So I was basically part-time and then the work dwindled. I was sad to say goodbye but I had no control over their decisions, which were mostly normal ones. You do form close relationships.

Mizzou I'm sorry you feel this way, but there is a light at the end of everyone's tunnel you'll get there you deserve to reach it sooner than later 🤗 all the good you do at work and on here, I hope you see the full moon on Tuesday and the light from the big moon will help lift and light up your lost soul I'll think of you when I look out 🙏💛🌟🌝
