Scared for my wife.

My wife an i both have anxiety and depression but she has been completely confining herself to the bed room and talking about suicide. I had to call a 988 hotline earlier and they sent police for a welfare check. She is very angry with me at one moment then pulling me closer at another. I feel like it would be wrong to leave her alone but she also needs space to heel. Im just stuck and it is not good for my own mental health

I’m so sorry that U R going thru this. Can does your wife have a therapist ? Is she on meds ? Can U have a caregiver come in to your house ? U need your own support. R U on meds ? Do U have a therapist ? It sounds like your wife needs intensive psychiatric care. If she is on meds she might need to have them adjusted. It’s good that U contacted HU. Definitely don't leave her alone. You don't necessarily hv to be in the same room, but make sure you're close enough to hear her and can calmly talk to her from time to time. Let her know that she is loved, and she matters to you and to all her loved ones. Also, make sure you remove/hide or lockup any thing that is accessible and may be used to cause harm, such as weapons, knives, pills, car keys, etc.... Is there anyone else you can call to help you? I know it's really really hard to be in your position, but remember to keep hydrated and do deep breathing to calm your nerves. You are doing your best. I hope things get better soon.
