I'm reaching out here tonight because I live alone and I've been having anxiety over the last couple of days. I'd say for the most part that my anxiety is manageable in my life, but sometimes when it gets going it really gets going. Living alone gives me few options to stop myself from overthinking. I also have health anxiety in general so the physical symptoms of anxiety (shortness of breath, pins and needles, etc.) really get the anxiety revved up and it snowballs. Grateful though to be still sober from my process addiction (15 months) and thanks for reading. Peace to all of you.

Thank you Dolphin14. I believe I am overwhelmed by work so I'm trying to find ways to mitigate that stressor. Unfortunately I think I'm too busy sometimes—I might need to find a way to allow myself to relax.
I have no words of wisdom to offer, but I do understand the loneliness. One way I deal with it is by having a pet and ensuring I dedicate enough time with them. My cat causes me anxiety because everything causes me anxiety, but he also brings me joy, or at least positive distraction, when I'm going down the anxiety rabbit hole. And I don't feel so alone.Good luck.
Thank you Brandon I appreciate knowing that I'm not lonely alone. I love animals and perhaps that is a decent idea too. Well wishes in your own struggles as well.
