Hello everyone, I have begun treatment for depression and anxiety for about a couple of months now. On medication which seems to be helping and completing weekly meeting with a therapist. I feel better most of the time and I know I have a long ways to go. not sure if the journey is ever completed. I tried all this about 20 years ago and didn't stick with it.
Recently my mental and emotional health took a big dive down and then got much worse and I had to seek help again. I'm here to make sure I keep going this time. I hope everyone continues to support each other.

U R correct about staying on the antidepressants indefinitely. I’m 65, and have been taking meds since I’ve been 39. I work 7 days a week. My meds allow me to function.
Welcome to the community! If the meds are helping stay on them! At times you may need a dosage adjustment or a new med. I became treatment resistant to meds a few years ago after being on them for decades(started meds in 1987), but luckily my therapist recommended TMS, a noninvasive treatment which for me was a lifesaver.(I'm in my late 60's).
