so i got the book everyone on here was telling me to get, hope and help for your nerves by claire weeks. i’ve been having terrible anxiety attacks & the anxiety attacks turn into derealization. i can pull myself out, that’s the good thing. i just hate that it happens so often. i’m going to start reading it soon. how has this book helped you? i want to hear some success stories about it! ❤️

Please let us know how you like the book. I have it on my list of books to get but right now I'm reading another book called "Healing Our Path From Mental Illness to Mental Health" by Thomas Insel, MD. It's pretty good so far but I just started it.
I really rely on her idea that everything passes nothing is permanent and when you have to face something like anxiety just learn to float thru it. She was very wise and far ahead of her time. She gives you ways to get through the worst bouts better.
I recently joined this group and I saw someone recommend it. I couldn’t believe it because my Dad had a “nervous breakdown “ in the 70’s when they referred to it as such.
He read that exact book and it helped him so much that he wanted me to read it. I couldn’t at the time because for some reason, it made me nervous to read about it.
I’ve suffered for years, but talking with my Dad was the only thing that helped. He passed several years ago and I have been lost. I was very excited to hear about this book because I had forgotten all about it.
I ordered it from Amazon recently and have read a lot of it so far. It really does tell you how to overcome it and makes so much sense. It does take practice, but I was able to do this after my talks with my Dad. I’m so grateful I have it now!!! I have recently signed up for other treatment because it has become so severe, but I am confident that combined with the help of this book, I will conquer this!
