Hi Chazboy, do your doctors include therapists? I love therapy and believe that if we can change the ways we think we can change the way we feel. I like David Burns work in his book "Feeling Great" and the Feeling Good podcast.
I think it would make sense that chest pains would be a good reason for you to panic and have severe anxiety. You had a heart attack! It is now just a signal from your body to be careful and try to avoid whatever you are doing or thinking about perhaps. I have found that validating my anxiety and seeing why certain things might cause me so much helps me accept the anxiety and ride it out. I wish you peace, hope, and strength.☮️
Thank you for answering me. Yes I have seen many Therapists over the year not one has helped. I am also on meds for it. I also have a problem driving too far from my house when I am alone. I will look into that book. I have good days then bad ones I am on a roller coaster. The last Therapist I saw gave me web sites with the teaching of Budda!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
l think we all would panic if we had heart attack and start getting chest pain. I think l would talk to my doctor as he must have seen this before and see if he can put your mind at rest. As for the anxiety you must read Dr Claire Weekes books on panic and anxiety. They help a lot and you can get them cheap on Ebay. Also there is a website Anxietycentre.com If you browse the symptoms you will be amazed. There is also a BHF section here on Healthunlocked where there are some brilliant helpful guys for heart conditions and how they cope. Take care.
