new medication seems to be working

my doctor added VRAYLAR and I’m feeling much better. I hope it lasts and continues to improve. Has any one else had experiences with this medication for depression?

glad to hear it worked. I am a little nervous because rexulti worked for me well for about 40 days and then I started shaking all over. Not tardive diskineasa (sp) but something else. So that ended that medicine. My understanding with VRAYLAR is it’s newer and hits 2 areas.. ?

Seratonin and dopamine I think, is that right?

I was on rexulti for awhile also. Both caused weight gain so those went in the trash lol

TD is a concern. I was so afraid of that also.

We just keep trying until we find the right ones.

the dr referred to something different- “something A & B”. I’ve noticed a little weight gain . I am concerned about TD but so far so good. I’m hoping for the best!

I'm not sure on the mechanism of action. I would have to look that up.

I was very scared of TD. Keep your eyes open for signs

I know it's uncontrolled movements with lip smacking and other things. Gotta catch it all early.

I don't know what the chances are etc. I do know my Dr said watch for the signs and call. I never had them as I said and hopefully you won't either

These drugs work well on many people with no side effects
