I would really suggest that you contact your local mental health services. If you’re in the USA call 988 in the uk call 116123.
I think it is actually natural to think about suicide when feeling hopeless. Those are part of the negative thinking that develops in order to feel safe but you can't believe these thoughts. The thinking is misleading and often untrue so it is up to you to change your thinking. Start developing a list of reasons as to why you do not want to give up and what you feel grateful for. Make the decision to be strong and not give up. Stick to it. Set an intention to make a plan for things you can do to move forward. Get help! You need to receive support from a therapist preferably. Reach out to friends, family or anyone else who you can connect with. Any conversation is better than none. Concentrate on believing that change is not only possible, but inevitable. It is a necessary part of life. You are capable of changing these negative thoughts to one's of hope. You are worth believing in and need to show you care about yourself. It is a hard, slow process but you can do it.
If you are in a crisis, please call the suicide hotline (numbers were posted above). If you are not at a point of crisis, you can look online. There are a lot of organizations that offer ideas on how to deal with suicidal thoughts as well as videos on the subject. I had a lot of suicidal thoughts during the worst of Covid. It really helped me to watch videos and read on the subject.
Sometimes thoughts of suicide are our brains way of throwing out the worst case scenario in order to protect ourselves, and it doesn't mean that you actually want to do it. Like for instance, i've been up on a high building and had the thought what if I jump but it doesn't mean I actually want to jump or end my life. The thing to realize is that our brain is negatively oriented in order to protect ourselves and that they are just thoughts and we don't have to believe them. We all have irrational thoughts but they are just thoughts, you don't have to believe them.
Thank you.
You're welcome, hope you are doing ok.
I think I'm okay I'm learning how to control what I'm going through.
That's good. One of the things that really helped me is learning and practicing mindfulness meditation which for me is just sitting and letting my thoughts flow in and out and observing them without attaching to them, it's a great way to realize that you are not your thoughts and you have a choice and the power as to whether you want to believe them or not.
