Someone asked for some pet photos, so I have included 2 of my dogs and then several of some dogs I babysit. I hope they bring some joy. They make me happy and I love all of them.

She was a Maltese mix and the most wonderful friend/family member. She passed away on October 14 th at 13. I miss her terribly. I just post the new therapy dog, Nellie. She helps my pain, but doesn’t take it away.
Only my 13 year old rescue, Izzy showed up. She recently passed and I am beyond sad. I cry all the time and Christmas offers no joy. Here is my latest new therapy dog, Nellie
I'm so sorry for your loss This is very hard to deal with.
Nellie is adorable. I get she is very helpful for you
Thank you, I am struggling with the loss of my sweet Izzy, on top of that my mom who had been living with me, fell and ended up in the hospital and now in skilled nursing. I feel so alone, missing both of them. That is why Christmas holds no joy or happiness for me.
Of course you miss Izzy you were together a long time. Many of us here know how hard this is.
I'm sorry your mom took a fall. Will you be able to spend time with her on Christmas?
Yes, I will go to the nursing home both Christmas Eve and day. I go to spend time with her 5 times a week. It is just not the same at home and I am not looking forward to Christmas this year. I appreciate your kindness and understanding. I must go, I have an AA (my home group) meeting. I have been sober 28 years. Hope you have a wonderful day. Maybe we can chat again.
He reminds me of my dog.
Just got a 3rd rescue, Axel, he’s in the Middle. Its Toby, Axel and Chloe.
Axel had lost one of his front legs and one eye in what we believe was a car accident. He was on the kill list and a local rescue took him in, got him fixed up and we adopted him in the beginning of January.
He’s Been a great addition to the family!
That is so awesome that you saved Axel. What a great story to read. Thank you for sharing Axel with us.
This was about 4 days after we brought him home. 1/4/24
He had his Surgery just before Thanksgiving, about 2 months prior.
He was keeping up with our runner!
