Has anyone taken this medication before ? I started it this morning and I am never taking it again. I started to feel like I couldn't stop moving, like my chest was on fire and I couldn't concentrate on anything, I actually had to leave work. Anyone else have this problem ?

Go straight back to ur doc and tell him what's happened even wrote it down so you don't forget.you often find that there is usually at least a two week bedding in period. I've been through every single AD and my physciatrist is confused about it.

I've now admitted that I couldn't deal with the effects so never gave them a chance.

Please don't give up. This is the time when you need to push ur self beyond belief to make time for ur Heath instead of going to work.

Have a wonderful weekend and push push push and don't give up and don't let the doc fob u of. It's taken me over 20 yrs to actually find a doc to take me seriously and act on what I have to say and believe in my self

Good luck

I had a hype in the first 2 weeks as well, but then it wore off. My doc warned me, so I was prepared. I was bouncing in the hallways and had to make sure I didn't break out in a dance in the office. You must know yourself whether you can cope for a couple of weeks or if they are too strong for you. I took it for a few months, but didn't like it very much. It made me unnaturally happy for no reason at all - unreal, not in touch with the world. I couldn't take anything seriously. Helped me over a bad patch, and couldn't have done it without, but much prefer life without.

I wouldn't get too scared from first effects, but it depends on how bad you think it feels.

And what my doctor also told me, when you come off them, you do end up in a hole and you must make sure that you can cope with it at the time. It is an artificial high they put you on, and then they drop you. I suppose like any illegal drug, they do alter your mind (not that I would know).

That's why I don't think I am taking them anymore, if I felt this bad after the VERY FIRST PILL then I don't think I even want to take another one !

.... ask your GP for Atarax or an antihistamine, can take up to 3 a day. check with your GP. get you through the early stages and side effects of the antidepressant. Try taking it at night just before u go to sleep, so you sleep through the side effects, and you can't think to much of the weird symptoms and feeling.

I read once that the natural happy chemical in our brain is low. When we start on a tablet to support, our natural chemical reduces quickly as it's leaving the job to the medication. That's why they make you feel worse in the beginning. My GP explained to me that when the medication works on our brain it's like a dripping tap. One Drip everyday to feeling more in control and eventually whilst riding the storm you come out the other side. xx keepvus informed on how you doing. ❤️

Don't give up taking the meds! I recently started the same ones in May. The first week sucks, but if you can push through, you will feel a lot better!! I started on 50mg and was having bad side effects, so I went down to 25mg for a couple weeks, then back up. That worked great! Trust me, the meds totally help you have to get through that first few days! Don't give up!

I already threw them away, I left work sick and was up until 4am shaking and it's just not worth it.
