When Meds and Therepies Stop working.

Some of you on here know a little bit about my story and struggles with MDD and anxiety. It's maddening sometimes. With visits to doctors, medications, therapies and etc. seems hopeless and despairing when they stop working or don't work. I find myself spiraling down during these times, as that is were I'm at in my head right now. Ketamine and TMS is the newest treatments and I've had them both. I stayed the coarse with them it seemed to work while I was going through it but stopped working a little while afterwards. I keep trying to push through, sometimes it's a moment by moment, but the older I get the harder it is becoming. It's frightening to know I'm still struggling so hard.

I can relate to how discouraging it is to keep trying all the treatments and still being in the same situation. We just have to keep trying though. Please don't give up. Maybe one day something will help. I am so glad to have this community for support. To know that I am not alone.

Thank you for your encouraging words. I feel the same way about this community. I'm hoping the medication changes will help some.

I don't wish this on anybody, but at least you understand we're I'm coming from. That's a help in itself. My doctor is changing some of my meds around, if nothing else it may be a help for a little while. I'm with you, encouraging one another helps get us through theses hard places we feel stuck in.

If you had some relief from TMS, you may want to look into an at-home device. I have gotten frustrated with meds (side effects, making things worse instead of better) and am focused on alternative therapies, including PEMF and fish oil, which has some good research for 1500 mg daily helping many folks after up to 6 weeks.

Here's the very helpful discussion forum you can join to read about others' experiences with at-home PEMF (can be used for TMS, which I am doing).

It has definitely helped me, and I think it's also helping my husband although he doesn't feel the immediate effects the way I do.

Hang in there!!!!!
