Walk in a park near me!

Took a walk in a nearby park on a beautiful day this past week. Thought you might enjoy seeing some of our native Midwest plants. The tall purple one is Ironweed, the tall yellow one is I believe a coreopteris tripteris, the grass falling over the path is Big Bluestem and the light airy grass is a Panicum or Switchgrass. It was a lovely cool morning and I took a walk before heading to work.

It’s very like my little park except the trees around the pond are very small. Love the big ones in your picture. Looks like you have had enough rain too!

This afternoon I had a few minutes spare before my doctors appointment and went in a little park nearby to have 5 minutes of quiet which I enjoyed!
