When treating depression can you have a real good day and on the next day feel sad and fatigued? My Mom was great one day and the next day she was sad and fatigued. Just trying to understand that this is normal in recovery? Thanks

Hi. I’m a mom and It’s possible that the day that she had a good day maybe she had a “happy mask” on because maybe she didn’t want everyone to know, and maybe the next day it just came out because she couldn’t hold it in anymore! I try to put on a happy face for my son when he visits because I don’t want him to know that I am in such trauma! Just my thoughts on this but only your mom probably knows why! -I hope your mom will be OK!-Shay

Why do you think antidepressants have those suicide warnings?

With my depression/anxiety, I have some days that are better than others.

Good morning

Yes, it is possible.

I have two really great pamphlets that talk about "Depression" and give wonderful advice about it!

1). " What Do You Do When You Become DEPRESSED?" by JAY E. ADAMS

2). " A Thankful Heart in a World of Hurt " by Joni Eareckson Tada

These are easy and quick reading, and simple to understand. I hope that this will help you.

God Bless you and your mom!

Thanks! Yes that would be good. She sees a doctor regularly. But I’m trying to educate myself the best I can. We still have a long ways to go. Frustrating to watch sometimes. But I’m patient about it.

You sure can. I get frustrated when it happens to me after a good day. Use my coping skills to get through the day and pray for a better day tomorrow

Sorry for you to be going through it. I can’t imagine going through it. Thanks for the reply, She is very slowly getting better. Long ways to go. Frustrating to see good day then bad. But completely understandable.

Yes usually when I first get up sets the tone for the day but I will say I have been able to go from anxiety to calm with prn medication and a gratitude list. Hope you are doing ok
