relieved?

I got a message from the doctor today saying my EEG was normal. I should feel relieved but I don’t. I’m happy nothing is wrong but it leaves me without any answers. What are these episodes that I have? Will they eventually get worse? What’s causing them? I didn’t think these tests would prove anything. All I got from it is another bill. Some days I just feel like everything in my life is against me…😥

if you have a lot of anxiety, there can be pains all over your body. I’ve had it b4. Try deep breathing. Listen to music you like. Positive visualization.

The statement that you don't feel relieved is a fact. The idea that you "should" feel relieved is more in the area of advice ( which could be absorbed by many of us from many sources or over a span of time). The questions you are able to articulate are important. The frustration expressed is very understandable at this point. I have gone through that type of frustration many times. I don't believe that I try to be my own doctor, but the patient has a lot of answers and information that needs to come out, and if the medical professional is too busy with too many patients, they often have to fall back by on statistics or the experience they have had so far. They could be a good doctor, and still not be able to lead the patient to the answer by him or herself. We almost have to be pioneers and learn to be assertive. We have to learn how to ask questions even when someone isn't listening or even gets irritated. I know people much better than I am at confronting people and events, more tactful, better at explaining just enough and not too much. I can learn from them, but can at the end only be myself. I responded to your post because you sound like you are getting to the truth. Do I think things will ever be perfect, ever get so they stay the way I like them to be? No, but I have gotten answers, both medical and academic, even to some extent spiritual, by sometimes rocking the boat, but always continuing on These answers probably apply only to me and my situation, so I could never give advice about what to do. I can only pass on that I keep learning and things got better and I have to know when I need help and when to think for myself. If there were grades for that, I wouldn't be getting A's. 🤔😅🤗
