Nice project, Gerrerd! Much less impressive, I have a 2000's car that I promised my wife to "restart", but that it has been waiting for years now. I have some theoretical knowledge of mechanics but no practical experience. Sadly, It will probably end up soon at the junkyard since I don't have the energy for such a project.

Will you somehow document your work so we can enjoy it by proxy? What is the planned course of action?

Sanding down and painting, first, then fixing or replacing working parts. Lastly stripping the engine rebuild maybe have to get a mechanic for this. But the value will triple when finished.
