put on venlafaxine for anxiety and depression 3 years ago and have slowly increased to 300mg. I just feel like they’re not helping at all lately. Been through a rough patch (cancer recovery) anxiety and depression is awful . Doc said I can go up to 375mg but I really don’t see that doing much help. Have tried sertraline and, fluoxetine in the past - no help and gained weight which made me more depressed.
When I first started venlafaxine, it did help a lot - it got me out of a hole and stopped my panic. But over the years I’ve had to increase and they work less.
Any suggestions? Want to avoid Weight gain as a side effect

I am also on 300mg venlafaxine. It stopped working years ago but I read the withdrawal is horrible. I am currently taking Ketamine tablets every day. I am feeling better. I am not suicidal every day. The Company is called Joyous. It's TeleHealth. I was hopeless and didn't want to live anymore. These Antidepressants don't work for millions of people. Recent articles say studies show that antidepressants don't work.
would you consider Paroxetine? I have been on it for many years, on various dosages and it helps. You need to watch out for weight gain due to increased appetite, but it is manageable. Try and binge on ‘ healthier’ snacks if possible.
